The Lady Knights competed at the WIC championship meet last night and came home with a third place finish. The ladies came out and competed extremely well and had a lot of great performances.
Eden Siples led the Knights by scoring 32 points on the evening. She started off by winning the 400 meters by running away from the competition in a season best time of 59.99. Her next event was the 200 meter dash which she won with a time of 26.9. She then teamed up with the 4×400 relay team of Maggie Lackey, Jolee Kellett, and Haley Howard to run a personal best time by 6 seconds and finish second in 4:18.38 to a very strong Edgewood team. At this point in the meet, Eden already had a top 4 finish locked up in the High Jump. However, Eden managed to have a few good jumps left in her and cleared 5 feet 2 inches in the high jump to win by having the fewest misses.
