The Lady Knights added another team win last night by defeating conference foe Sullivan in a dual meet. The Knights took home 10 first place finishes.
Eden Siples continued her winning ways by taking home a victory in all four of her events. She won the 200 in a time of 26.58, the 400 in a time of 1:01.52, and the High Jump with a jump of 4’10”. She was also a part of the winning 4×400 team (Jolee Kellet, Ginger Rayle, Haley Howard, Siples) which won with a time of 4:33.37
Madeline Sinders and Yahaira Martinez had great nights on the track, as both were members of the winning 4×800 team along with Ginger Rayle and Mercedes Hoke. The girls won with a time of 13:07.12. Madeline won the 1600 meters with a time of 6:31 and finished 2nd in the 800 with a time of 2:52.11. Yahaira edged out Madeline at the finish line to take home first in the 800 with a new personal best of 2:51.94. Senior Cathy Smith won the 3200 with a tme of 17:49.
Maggie Lackey pulled out the victory in the 100 meter dash by .02 of a second over a competitor from Sullivan. Her winning time was 13.53. Alysa Meyer’s had the furthest jump to claim the victory in long jump with a leap of 14 feet and 11 inches.
Brianna Langdon finished second in the 1600 with a personal best time of 7:24. Ginger Rayle finished third in the 800 with a time of 2:59.63. Katelyn Kidwelll finished second in both hurdle races with a time of 20.46 in the 100 high hurdles and a personal best of 1:02.18 in the 300 intermediates. Rachel Bush finished second in the Shot Put with a put of 28 feet 8 inches, and third in the Discus with a throw of 76 feet 9 inches.
The Knights are back in action Tuesday with a quadrangular meet at Edgewood against the host Mustangs, Owen Valley, and Lighthouse Christian.
