Northview Softball arrived as two different teams to Jasper this weekend. The Northview Knights played the Tecumseh Braves at 6:00 pm followed by Corydon Central at 8:00 pm Friday night.
The Northview Knights lost to Tecumseh 11-0 in 5 innings as they came out flat and were unable to produce despite bases loaded with no outs in the first inning. The Knights had only 3 hits on the game: A. Thompson 2-3 with a double, and O. Notter 1-3. H. Ellis was charged with the loss.

The Knights then turned around and played Corydon Central. They battled like crazy, showed enthusiasm, fire, and grit, but lost 6-4 in 9 innings with the international tie breaker. The Knights recorded 6 hits: J. Brown 1-4 with a run scored; E. Jackman 1-4 with a huge RBI triple in the 8th; B. Timberman 1-4 with a double; O. Notter 2-4; A. Thompson 1-2 with a run scored; M. Richey with a RBI; M. Pell with a RBI; E. Carter with a run scored; and D. White doing her job to confuse the defense and allow H. Smith to score a run. M. Richey took the loss for the Knights.

The girls know the difference. They feel the difference. They know which team they want to be. They woke up the next day wanting a redo do with Tecumseh.

The Knights compete against Plainfield (A), conference foe West Vigo (H), and county foe Clay City (A) this week.
