Yesterday the Knights competed at the State Preview Invitational at the Lavern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course. This meet was considered the Indianarunner.com Boys meet of the Week as it featured a lot of highly ranked teams and individuals in the state.
Northview finished 9th out of 26 teams in a very strong field. Thomas Chapman ran a time of 16:58.1 to finish as the top Knight in 36th place. Carter Mullenix ran a time of 17:07.1 which was a 33 second PR to finish in 45th place. Stuart Bennett was close behind finishing in 17:08.1 to finish in 49th place. Corbin Butts was next in 56th place with a time of 17:14.1. Rounding out the scoring for the Knights was Jared Parkey who also ran a big PR by finishing in 111th place with a time of 17:56.1 which was a 20 second pr and his first time breaking 18 minutes. Hank Slater was the 6th runner to cross the line running a 59 second PR to finish in 154th place with a time of 18:34.3. Rounding out the top 7 for the Knights was another Knight who set a personal record, Logan Graf, who finished in 184th place with a time of 18:58.1 which was a 16 second personal record.
