Northview competed in the Ted Fox Invitational today at Bedford North Lawrence. The meet which is held on the regional course had some great competition for the Knights. The competition combined with a much-awaited break in the weather provided fast times for everyone competing. In the Varsity Race the Knights finished 3rd overall behind Bloomington North and Floyd Central, two teams that are sure to be state bound by the end of the season. Every Northview runner ran to a season best time, with all but two or three runners finishing with a personal best 5k time.
Braden Norris led the way for the Knights and finished 11th place overall in a time of 16:52.59. He was followed closely by Thomas Chapman who finished in 13th with a time of 16:56.49. Stuart Bennett finished in 30th place with a time of 17:07.13. Corbin Butts finished in 25th with a time of 17:16.71. Carter Mullenix finished in 38th with a time of 17:43.66 to finish as the last scoring runner on the team. Evan Hendrich finished in 53rd with a time of 18:17.37 and was followed closely by Braeden Knerr who finished in 54th place with a time of 18:23.16.
In the Boys Open Race, the Knights finished in 5th place behind Bloomington North, Terre Haute North, Floyd Central, and Roncalli. Braxton Mercer was the first to cross the finish line in 33rd place with a time of 18:51.55. Hunter Brown crossed next in 38th place with a time of 18:59.30. Jared Parkey finished in 49th with a time of 19:09.24. Logan Graf finished in 55th place with a time of 19:21.21 and Xander Shillings finished in 59th place with a time of 19:29.87.
